A low-profile and wideband crossed dipole antenna based on AMC reflector for circularly polarized applications

Abstract: Based on the AMC (Artificial Magnetic Conductor) reflector, a low-profile and wideband crossed dipole antenna for circularly polarized (CP) applications is presented in this paper. The antenna consists of a doublesided printed crossed dipole radiator, four parasitic loops and an AMC reflector. The crossed-dipole radiator is fed by a pair of vacant-quarter printed rings, generating circularly polarized radiation. By using the parasitic loops, an additional CP mode is produced, which combines with the original C… Show more

“…For example, different types of wideband antennas with relatively good performance in published works [6,7,8,9,10,11] have been developed. However, compared with circular polarized antennas [12,13,14,15,16,17,18], these wideband linearly polarized antennas are more likely to cause polarization mismatch. And these antennas have no enough bandwidth to support high data rate transmission.…”
