A low-power, long-life and energy-saving method for cold data storage

Abstract: Abstract. As a sharp increase of global data, energy consumption of data storage is becoming more and more prominent. According to the data access frequency, about 80% of data is not be accessed. For these data, the paper proposes a low-consumption, long-life and high-security method which uses high-density, large-capacity and intelligent optical disc library as storage device and Blu-ray disc as storage medium.
