Abstract: A 30MHz center frequency, 6th order Butterworth and elliptic band-pass filter using a leap-frog Gm-C structure in this work. A continuous time differential voltage mode Gm-C biquad and its adjoin voltage - mode version are described, employing FCS (Floating Current Source) circuits as building blocks. This study proposes a current-mode KHN universal filter design that can perform three standard functions simultaneously: low-pass, high-pass, and band-pass. The circuit is built around a multiple-output operation transconductance amplifier (MO-OTA), which allows for electronically adjustable pole frequency and quality factor by modifying input bias currents (IB). The circuit layout is straightforward, with two MO-OTAs and two grounded capacitors, eliminating the need for external resistors and depending entirely on grounded components. Because of its simplicity, the circuit is suited for use in a tiny, efficient design. The proposed circuit's operation was validated using LT-Spice simulations, and the results were in line with theoretical expectations. The circuit used around 298μW of power at ±0.2V power supply voltages. These results demonstrate the circuit's potential for low-power applications, which are crucial in many modern electronic devices. The suggested current-mode KHN universal filter offers a viable option for combining various filter functions in a single circuit with customizable parameters. Its simplicity, efficiency, and performance qualities make it a feasible choice for incorporation into a variety of electronic systems, allowing for more filter design freedom.

For single digit nanometric dimensions, the fin type Field Effect Transistor (FinFET) transistor is a promising technology. FinFETs are utilized to reduce power consumption and boost performance since the two gate voltages may be regulated independently or dependently. This work investigates the design of multioutput current-controlled current conveyor transconductance amplifiers, or M.O.C.C.C.C.T.A.s. to carry out all standard operations, such as LP, HP, BS, BP, and AP. One of the circuit's features is its capacity to change the pole frequency electrically and independently by applying the proper input bias currents based on the quality factor. There are merely two grounded capacitors and two M.O.C.C.C.C.T.A.s in the simple circuit design. The recommended design is perfect for further development into an integrated circuit because it only contains grounded components and does not require any external resistors. The FinFET 7 nm PTM-MG model is used in LT-spice to simulate the suggested active filter circuit. The obtained findings are in good agreement with the theoretical prediction.

This paper proposes using current feedback operation amplifiers (CFOAs) as an active filter in creating floating passive and active inductance simulators is a versatile and efficient solution for circuit design. CFOAs are popular for their high slew rate and wide bandwidth which makes them ideal candidates for applications demanding rapid response time alongside high frequencies. It is possible to customize these simulated inductances for different design specifics by changing certain external resistor values. The circuit comprises a trio of CFOAs, an earthed capacitor and three resistors, thus making it quite simple to put into practice at a cheap price. Experiments and LTSPICE simulations have been conducted to examine the performance of the circuit, and closely confirmed theoretical expectations. In other words, this confirms the trustworthiness and preciseness of the introduced floating active inductance simulator. Voltage-mode band-stop filtering is one real-world scenario where this circuit is used. This indicates that our proposed technique can have more applications than one in circuit design. This is further proof that our idea can be used in other circuits as well. In conclusion, using CFOAs in active filters for building a grounded passive active inductance simulator is a solid and effective answer to circuit designers. This makes it an appealing choice for numerous applications because of its simplicity in designing the network as well as its high performance and customizability. Circuit design and application can be greatly improved if more study is done in this field.
