Our results support the model that differentiates the EF into two separable major components which may follow distinct developmental pathways over time (Stålnacke et al, 2018). In cognitive flexibility even our ELBW preterms seem to have caught up with the nonrisk counterparts by 9-10 years of age that Ritter and colleagues (2013) found only in their 10-13 year-olds.…”
