Abstract:Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection is one of the most common causes of community‐acquired pneumonia in children, usually experiencing a favorable prognosis.Cases of M. pneumoniae infection resulting in respiratory failure, severe pulmonary or extrapulmonary sequelae, and death are relatively rare.Currently, no cases related to a destroyed lung with Mycoplasma‐associated infection have been reported. Therefore, we report a case of a destroyed lung in an 11‐year‐old girl with Mycoplasma‐associated infection.
