A lattice Boltzmann investigation of the saturated pool boiling heat transfer on micro-cavity/fin surfaces

Abstract: The saturated pool boiling heat transfer on micro-cavity and micro-fin surfaces is examined by the mesoscopic phase change lattice Boltzmann method. The important interfacial processes and boiling heat transfer performance are explored concerning the effects of micro-structure configurations, specifically fin and cavity, and micro-structure parameters including fin/cavity shape, height, length, and spacing between fins/cavities.
