A large left ventricular pseudoaneurysm evaluated with multimodality cardiac imaging

Abstract: Rarely, the rupture of the free wall of the left ventricle is contained by an adherent pericardium, creating a pseudoaneurysm. This clinical finding calls for emergency surgery. However, true aneurysms, if no ruptures are detectable and myocardium wall integrity is confirmed, can often be managed medically. Therefore, the accurate diagnosis of these conditions is clinically important. In this report, we present a case of large left ventricular pseudoaneurysm evaluated with multimodality cardiac imaging.
