Abstract:The transport of neutral hydrogen atoms in a hydrogen plasma is investigated. An analytical approach based on a polynomial expansion technique is used to solve boundary value problems for half-space and slab plasma. A linear version of the Boltzmann equation is considered to describe the transport of the neutrals. Particular and complete solutions are obtained for specular and diffuse reflections. The numerical results are reported.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
