A Jaccard Similarity-Based Model to Match Stakeholders for Collaboration in an Industry-Driven Portal

Abstract: The industry–university collaboration has been emphasized for innovation and economic development in the Triple Helix Model. To facilitate this collaboration often necessitates implementing interfaces between stakeholders. EGEVASYON, an industry-driven platform coined from the combination of innovation and Ege for the Aegean Region of Turkey, has been proposed to foster collaboration by involving researchers in industry projects. Moreover, the platform has a portal project under development, where researchers … Show more

“…Overall, the horizontal partitioning schemes version (DiCFS-hp) proved to be the preferable option due to its better scalability and natural partitioning mode, allowing the Spark framework to better use cluster resources. For classification problems, the benefits of distribution over the non-distribution version are comparable to, if not superior, and the benefits are already proven for the regression domain [10].…”

Kabasakal and Soyuer [18] provide research that satisfies a demand in a university-industry partnership web portal project (EGEVASYON) by matching a list of projects with a relevant subset of keywords through the Jaccard similarity measure. Each similar subset of keywords has various use-cases in accordance with the web portal's requirements.…”
