Abstract:A hanseníase é considerada uma doença tropical negligenciada no Brasil, que embora seja rara em crianças, segundo o Ministério da Saúde, em 2015, sua taxa de detecção em menores de 15 anos foi de 7,3%, algo preocupante, pois o número de casos nessa faixa etária é indicador de necessidade de implantar medidas de tratamento e combate à essa doença.
