“…I treated the research materials I gathered as a set of discourse or ‘rules, divisions and systems of a particular body of knowledge’ (Arribas-Ayllon and Walkerdine, 2008: 99). I followed Kendall and Wickham’s (1999) steps in doing the analysis in combination with Worthman and Troiano’s (2016) application of the FDA by identifying the rules that determine the production of statements, the borders of what is sayable and visible and the material and discursive practices.
