A hydraulic model of cardiovascular physiology and pathophysiology embedded into a computer-based teaching system for student training in laboratory courses

Abstract: Functional understanding of the different parts of the cardiovascular system is essential for an insight into pathomechanisms of numerous diseases. During training cardiovascular physiology, students and early-stage medical personnel should understand the role of different functional parameters for systolic and diastolic blood pressure, as well as for blood flow. The impact of isolated parameters can only be studied in models. Here physical hydraulic models are an advantage in which the students have a direct … Show more

“…At the same time, as shown in Figure 1, the meaning network has expanded its business application through the use of technology such as technology, knowledge technology, and general computing, which is called the third wave of growth of the global information industry after computers and information Internet. It is a continuation and extension of the application on the Internet [2]. e amount of data collected by network devices on the intranet will naturally increase over time.…”

“…A hybrid teaching situation, in which students combine mathematical models with hands-on physiology, has been shown to provide a solid foundation in understanding the CVS. 1 We wanted to make sure that students obtained the same educational value as an in-person lab in which they obtain and analyze cardiac data from living tissue; in this case, their own hearts. Another goal of the lab was for students to engage and learn from each other during their weekly sessions.…”
