Summary Sustainable power sources, that is, the energy produced as of hydro control, biomass, wind, geothermal, sunlight, and sea resources deliberated as innovative choice intended to create clean energy and crisp water. The majority of the nations have challenged issues proceeding freshwater and power creation, which tends to the utilization of sustainable power source‐controlled desalination frameworks. In this work expanding the clean water accessibility that satisfies the load need, Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems (HRES) on the basis of Reverse Osmosis Desalination (ROD) is structured and then displayed. HRES is getting to be well known for power applications because of advances in sustainable power sources. Here, an innovative calculation based on Social Spider Optimization (SSO) is aimed at explaining the required optimization tasks. The technique referenced is turned out to be powerful, utilizing sustainable power source framework. The proposed system is contrasted with a genuine contextual analysis in the eastern part of Iran, Canary Islands and outcomes demonstrate that it has been successfully utilized thinking about both power quality and cost. Also, the outcomes acquired by the suggested technique are very encouraging to outline the capability and strength of the introduced methodology.

Die Umkehrosmose ist eine sehr energieeffiziente Option zur Meerwasserentsalzung. Da sie nur elektrische Energie nachfragt, bietet sich aus Klimaschutzgründen eine Kombination von Umkehrosmose‐ und Photovoltaik(PV)‐Anlagen an. Deshalb wird hier eine PV‐basierte Umkehrosmose‐Anlage zur Meerwasserentsalzung für einen Standort in Saudi‐Arabien ausgelegt und modelliert. Ausgehend davon werden verschiedene Varianten einer PV‐versorgten Meerwasserentsalzungsanlage untersucht und daraus Schlussfolgerungen für den Bau derartiger Anlagen abgeleitet.

Only nonwetted porous membranes can be used in membrane distillation. The possibility of application in this process the capillary polypropylene membranes manufactured by thermallyinduced phase separation was studied. The performance of a few types of membranes available commercially was presented. The resistance of the membranes to wetting was tested in the continuous process of water desalination. These studies were carried out for 1000 h without module cleaning. The presence of scaling layer on the membranes surface was confirmed by Scanning Electron Microscope observations. Both the permeate flux and distillate conductivity were almost not varied after the studied period of time, what indicates that the used membranes maintained their nonwettability, and the negative influence of scaling was limited. The role of surface porosity on the pore wetting and influence of membrane wettability on the quality of the distillate obtained were discussed.
