The objective of this work is to design a decision support model, based on the Analytical Network Process (ANP) combined with DEMATEL, to select different renewable energy investment alternatives, from the point of view of the growing need (of private companies, investors or public agencies) in the choice of one or another alternative renewable energy project. The model comprises the definition of the problem elements that are the different alternative investment solutions and the decision criteria and sub-criteria applicable to the case study, the interrelation analysis of all the elements, the prioritization of these relationships and the obtaining of a solution that will allow the prioritization of the different investment alternatives. The work will be applied to the case study of a small municipality in the Province of Valencia and will conclude with a discussion of the results and conclusions.
