A hybrid conceptual model for BIM in FM

Abstract: Purpose The purpose of this paper is to develop a hybrid conceptual model for building information modelling (BIM) adoption in facilities management (FM) through the integration of the technology task fit (TTF) and the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) theories. The study also aims to identify the influence factors of BIM adoption and usage in FM and identify gaps in the existing literature and to provide a holistic picture of recent research in technology acceptance and adoption in th… Show more

“…To ensure the acceptance of technologies by users many theories have been found to solve the adoption of new technologies. Theories of technology acceptance are information systems that design users' acceptance and utilization of contemporary and modern technologies (Hilal et al, 2019). For a long time, user acceptance remains the most important challenge.…”

“…BIM, up from DT is widely used in the construction industry. BIM models allow for integrated information management throughout the building life cycle, including the FM phase [66]. BIM provides a collaborative platform to manage not only the project and its components, but also the relationships between stakeholders [67].…”
