A histone deacetylase 7-derived peptide promotes vascular regeneration via facilitating 14-3-3γ phosphorylation

Abstract: Histone deacetylase 7 (HDAC7) plays a pivotal role in the maintenance of the endothelium integrity. In this study, we demonstrated that the intron‐containing Hdac7 mRNA existed in the cytosol and that ribosomes bound to a short open reading frame (sORF) within the 5′‐terminal noncoding area of this Hdac7 mRNA in response to vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) stimulation in the isolated stem cell antigen‐1 positive (Sca1+) vascular progenitor cells (VPCs). A 7‐amino acid (7A) peptide has been demonstrate… Show more

“…Reverse transcription reactions were conducted with the GoScript Reverse Transcription System (Promega, Madison, WI). Quantitative real-time PCR was implemented as previously described [ 23 ]. The 2 −ΔΔCt method was used to measure the expression of INHAB and GAPDH (endogenous control).…”

“…Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPAR-γ) agonist inhibits vascular complications in I/R injury through modulation of oxidative stress and endoplasmic reticulum stress [106]. A histone deacetylase 7-derived peptide maintains endothelium integrity and promotes angiogenesis in hindlimb ischemia partly through regulation of oxidative stress [107]. Propylene glycol alginate sodium sulfate (PSS) as heparinoid drug has many biological activities.…”

“…Small-molecular oligopeptides commonly participate in multiple physiological and pathological processes, including the transmission of signals and the regulation of immune and inflammatory responses ( Yang J. et al, 2020 ; Gao et al, 2022 ). RP-HPLC is a common approach to separate small-molecular peptides by adjusting the chromatographic conditions ( Liu et al, 2022 ).…”
