A highly electrically conductive graphene–silver nanowire hybrid nanomaterial for transparent conductive films

Abstract: Uniform and high-quality graphene oxide thin films were prepared using a dip-coating approach and were reduced to highly electrically conductive graphene nanosheet (GN) transparent conductive films (TCFs) using hydriodic acid. Silver nanowires (AgNWs), which were modified using thiophenol and exhibited a high aspect ratio and high electrical conductivity, were deposited on the surfaces of the GN TCFs through p-p interactions between the aromatic functional groups on the AgNWs and GNs to form highperformance GN… Show more

“…The resulted film had sheet resistance of ~27 Ω/sq and 82% transmittance. Haiso et al 35. reported hybrid films of graphene nanosheet–silver nanowires by dipcoating process with sheet resistance of 71 Ω/sq and 85% light transmittance.…”

“…Therefore, the prepared Ag-NPs dispersions were further used to fabricate transparent conductive films on glasses by spinning-coating. [48][49][50][51] , including a Ag-NWs film with T 550 = 90% possessing R s = 740 Ω / /□ [48] , a Ag-NPs/rGO film with T 550 = 90.2% and R s = 170Ω/ □ [49] , and a Ag-NWs/Graphene film with T 550 = 85% and R s = 71 Ω / /□ [50] . Moreover, the methods to fabricate the Ag-NWs or Ag/rGO films are more complex [52][53][54][55][56] , such as adding new materials or using special technique to improve the adhesion among Ag-NWs or between Ag-NWs and rGO, and the optical and conductive properties of the films are comparable with those of the films in this work.…”

“…The turn on field required to draw an emission current density of 1 lA cm 22 for the rGO-AgNWs (2.40 V mm 21 ) was lower than that of the AgNWs (5.00 V mm 21 ) and rGO (3.92 V mm 21 ). Hsiao et al 23 deposited AgNWs, which were modified with thiophenol, on graphene nanosheets (GNs) films to produce GNs/ AgNWs hybrid nanomaterial films. The GN/AgNWs hybrid nanomaterial films exhibited a sheet resistance of 71 X sq 21 .…”
