“…1. The deexciting γ rays were detected using the Indian National Gamma Array (INGA) comprising 21 Compton suppressed clover detectors [25,26]. With the full assemblage of 24 clover detectors, the photopeak efficiency of INGA is ∼ 5% at the 1.3 MeV γ ray energy.…”

“…Two and higher fold clover coincidence events were recorded in a fast digital data aquisition system based on Pixie-16 modules of XIA LLC [25]. The data sorting routine "multi parameter time stamped based coincidence search program (MARCOS)" developed at TIFR [25] was used to sort the time stamped data to generate E γ -E γ matrices and E γ -E γ -E γ cubes compatible with RADWARE format [29].…”

“…The γ-rays from de-excitation of the nuclei populated in the experiment, were detected using the Indian National Gamma Array (INGA) consisting of 18 Compton suppressed clover detectors. Two-and higher-fold clover coincidence events were recorded in a fast digital data acquisition system based on Pixie-16 modules of XIA LLC [5]. The data sorting routine "Multi pARameter time-stamped based COincidence Search program (MARCOS)" developed at TIFR, sorts the time stamped data to generate E γ − E γ matrices and E γ − E γ − E γ cubes compatible with Radware format [6].…”

“…The higher photopeak efficiency of the array makes it possible to measure the lifetime of the weakly populated excited states using Doppler Shift Attenuation method (DSAM) [5] in the range of ∼ 10 f sec to ∼ 1 psec. In the current experimental campaign of INGA at TIFR, a PCI-PXI based digital data acquisition (DDAQ) system with 96 channels has been implemented for the Compton suppressed clover array [6]. This fast DDAQ has added new capability of INGA to carry out spectroscopic measurements across the isomeric states with lifetime up to few μsec based on the technique of the coincidence event building from the time-stamped data.…”

“…The DDAQ is used in the low-fold as well as high-fold coincidence mode for the in-beam experiments with minimum dead time. It has six Pixie-16 modules, two LVDS level translator modules, and one controller arranged in a single Compact PCI/PXI crate [6]. Details of the digitizer Pixie-16 modules can be found in Ref.…”
