Abstract:This article presents a 60 GHz on–off keying (OOK) demodulator for short‐range and high‐speed wireless communications. An OOK demodulator consists of a wideband detector and an efficient limiting amplifier. With a gain‐boosting technique, the detector has a voltage responsivity of 5,892 mV/mW and the demodulator has a measured conversion gain of 16 dB for an input power of −20 dBm at 5 Gb/s.
