Abstract:Flow-electrode capacitive deionization (FCDI) is a prospective
alternative for large-scale desalination applications due to the efficient
flowability of the electrode slurry. However, flow channel blockages
and slurry leakage in conventional FCDI cells have severely limited
the salt removal and stable operation. Based on the synergistic effects
of diverting and guiding flow, a hexagonal honeycomb-shaped flow channel
(HH-channel) was innovatively applied to the FCDI system to optimize
the hydrodynamic behavior … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
