A heteropolyacid-based ionic liquid immobilized onto Fe3O4/SiO2/Salen/Mn as an environmentally friendly catalyst for synthesis of cyclic carbonate

Abstract: Magnetite-polyoxometalate hybrid nanomaterials, Fe 3 O 4 /SiO 2 /Salen/ Mn/IL/HPW (MNPs-HPW), was prepared by grafting of H 3 PW 12 O 40 on the ionic liquid-functionalized Fe 3 O 4 magnetite nanoparticles. This catalyst is a recoverable catalyst for the one-pot synthesis of cyclic carbonate derivatives in high to excellent yield under solvent-free conditions.
