Abstract:In this paper, based on the generalised sidelobe canceller (GSC), we propose a novel broadband adaptive beamformer, where its quiescent vector and blocking matrix are replaced by a series of two dimensional frequency invariant filters (FIFs). The new quiescent vector forms a beam pointing to the signal of interest, whereas the new blocking matrix forms a number of beams pointing to other directions, with a zero response to the signal of interest. As opposed to standard beanispace techniques, the FIFs need not … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
