This paper aims to explore the relationship between Arab women, migration, and the city in Hannan asy-Syaikh’s Innaha London, ya Azizi. The meeting of two cultures can be seen as a liminality and involves a postcolonial feminist discourse, considering that the women come from a former colonized country and the host country is a former colonizer country. Liminality describes the ‘between space’ as a place where cultural change occurs. The method used is the dialectical method. Research shows that liminality is related to language, food, and the relationship between women and men. Liminality becomes a bridge in bringing together self-culture with urban culture. It shows that at first, they didn’t understand and admire each other, but finally realized that they didn’t have to change to become the other. Each can remain self without losing identity and dominating the other. Liminality restores and strengthens the Arab identity of Arab migrant women in European metropolitan cities.

In the golden era of Islam, poetry as a part of Arabic literature continued to develop and still exists today. Arabic poetry is widely used by nuhats as a source of taking nahwu rules. The purpose of this study is to reveal the role of poetry in taking the nahwu rules that are currently developing. This research employs descriptive qualitative research method. This research is a literature study related to the role of poetry in taking nahwu rules. The research data were analyzed by content analysis method with the aim of describing the content in detail. The results of the study show that sama’ has been one of the arguments/sources in creating rules in nahwu science. Sama’ is divided into three, they are the Qur'an, hadith and the sayings of Arabs in the poetry and prose. The poetry is widely used as hujjah or argument in nahwu rules by the nahwu scholars of various madzhabs, whether used as main arguments or supporting arguments, for which the main arguments are from the Qur'an and Hadith. Meanwhile, according to Arab scholars, literature occupies the third position as the most fluent Arabic language after the language of the Qur'an and Hadith. In addition to adding treasures in the study of Arabic literature, this research is expected to open more attention of Arab scholars to Arabic literary works such as poetry in developing easy nahwu rules. Refugees' perilous experiences force them to flee home for safety. Their arrival from home country to the host country is not only often reduced to be a statistical number in factual reports but also seen as threats to national well-being. The study aims to provide the argument that poems provide a symbol of resistance towards refugees' given fate, and offer a platform for them to create their authentic version of knowledge. Poems are chosen to be analyzed in this study as they can mediate the refugees' unique experiences and their struggle to cope with the changing condition. The study argues that poems of and by refugees can serve as strategic means of preserving memories that connect them with their past, which shape their present and construct an alternative subjectivity against objectification and stereotypes pinned to them. Poems analyzed in this research are 'Home' by Warsan Shire, 'The Icebreaker' by Yovanka Paquete Perdigao, and 'Empathy' by A.E. Stallings. Those excerpts are interpreted through Feminist Refugee Epistemology (FRE), which according to Espiritu (2018), "reveals the hidden political forces within the site of intimate domestic interaction in each refugee's unique experiences and queer sociality." The study concluded that poems of and by refugees could facilitate the forced-migrants' aspiration and create alternative knowledge as opposed to their common objectification in mass-media reports.
