Abstract:Lipomas are mesenchymal tumors composed of mature fat tissue and are considered one of the most common benign tumors. They are usually small in size, and giant lipomas are rare. The exact etiology of lipoma development is unclear, though several factors have been proposed. Intramuscular or subpectoral lipomas involving the pectoralis major muscle are uncommon.
