Thioethers Q 0580 A Gentle and Efficient Route for the Deoxygenation of Sulfoxides Using Catecholborane (HBcat; cat = 1,2-O2C6H4). -The deoxygenation of sulfoxides is investigated under NMR-conditions using catacholborane as the reagent. The time for complete conversion significantly depends on the structure of the substrate. The reactions can be improved by the addition of Rh-catalysts (no details). -(HARRISON, D. J.; TAM, N.
