A general active damping method based on capacitor voltage detection for grid-connected inverter

Abstract: In this paper, a general active damping method based on capacitor voltage detection for stable control of LCL filter grid-connect inverter is proposed. Three active damping methods are derived from the general form. Root locus and bode diagrams are used to analysis these three active damping methods. And in the case of different control delay, robustness of three active damping methods are compared. Integrated the advantages and disadvantages of each method, and eventually come to a relatively better active da… Show more

“…The choice of Equations ( 11) and ( 12) must match the characteristics of the one-port network impedance model. If the characteristic curve is a concave curve, using the series equivalent RLC circuit to fit it and the parameters can be calculated by Equation (13). If the characteristic curve is a convex curve, using the parallel equivalent RLC circuit to fit it and the parameters can be calculated by Equation (14).…”

“…The existing impedance reshaping methods are mainly divided into active damping and passive damping methods. Passive damping [12] gains harmonic suppression effect at the cost of increasing system loss by increasing filter resistance, while active damping method [13] transforms the control structure of the system through active damping algorithm to realize harmonic suppression. However, the above methods need to change the hardware or software of the system one by one, which will bring great workload.…”
