A Fuzzy Reliability Allocation Method for the Product Based on the Knowledge

Abstract: In this paper, a fuzzy reliability allocation method of product is developed based on the experts' knowledge, where fuzzy set theory and analytic hierarchy process are used to decrease the influence of decision-makers' subjective preferences and the fuzzy and uncertain factors during the decision process. In the reliability allocation process, when selecting the influence factors and determining their weights, when establishing the evaluation matrix of the component and determining its comprehensive grade, the… Show more

“…If no field performance data is available, we still suggest to keep the solution simple. It is an option to allocate the reliability objective with experts as described in [8]. The simplest way is allocate the reliability to the software components in the same level evenly so that the problem can be transformed into reliability allocation of series or parallel system.…”

“…In 2009, Hong-bin proposed a fuzzy decision method for complex system [ 6], and Du Li applied multi-stage fuzzy evaluation method to diesel engine, considering not only effects of multi-factors, but also hierarchy and fuzziness of each factor [7]. Yingkui implemented a fuzzy method based on experts' evaluation, taking into consideration the product's risk and experts' different background [8]. In 2011, Mahapatra proposed an entropy redundancy based allocation approach, maximizing the reliability and entropy of the system to get optimal level of redundancies [9].…”

“…The weight of each influence factor can be determined by using the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process. The method was presented by Gu and Huang [3]. In the decision process, some experts from the corresponding domains are invited to carry out pairwise comparison individually compare the influence factors for establishing the judgement matrix.…”
