A Fuzzy Logic Architecture for Rehabilitation Robotic Systems

Abstract: Robots are highly incorporated in rehabilitation in the last decade to compensate lost functions in disabled individuals. By controlling the rehabilitation robots from far, many benefits are achieved. These benefits include but not restricted to minimum hospital stays, decreasing cost, and increasing the level of care. The main goal of this work is to have an effective solution to take care of patients from far. Tackling the problem of the remote control of rehabilitation robots is undergoing and highly challe… Show more

“…All the above studies have in common use of several tools to achieve the safety required by the medical procedure. The safety may be achieved through an effective correlation between the kinematics of the medical robot [18][19][20][21][22][23] and the control system [24][25][26][27][28][29][30][31] used to actuate the robotic structure with respect to human-robot interactions [32][33][34][35].…”

“…The link between the headset and the robotic platform was created using the Message Queueing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) communication protocol [ 25 ]. MQTT is a lightweight protocol for IoT messaging and is widely used in robot control systems [ 26 , 27 , 28 , 29 , 30 , 31 ]. It was our choice because it has a small computational overhead and was easy to integrate into our system.…”

“…With the continuous development of social economy, engineering construction projects have started to be implemented one after another [ 1 , 2 ]. For large-scale construction, relying only on traditional design drawings may not fully meet the needs [ 3 – 5 ]. Therefore, experts within the industry have introduced computer simulation technology to further shorten the corresponding period, improve the corresponding training quality, and save the corresponding expenditure.…”
