Abstract:This paper presents a full numerical analysis using the First order Shear Deformation Theory to evaluate the bending, free vibration, and buckling behaviors of a new Strain Based Functionally Graded Rectangular Plate finite element, denoted as SBFGRP24. Each node of this element has six degrees of freedom, acquired through the superposition of a membrane and a bending element.
