The dynamic composition of components is an emerging concept that aims to allow a new application to be constructed based on a user’s request. This is achieved by dynamically composing and assembling disturbed components with home ones. This paper presents a framework architecture for the dynamic composition of components that can extract pertinent contextual data and combine them with explicit/implicit intent, in order to compose the relevant components to meet the real requirements of the user. The proposed architecture includes a user feedback system that is appropriate for the use context in terms of the user profile and technical/domain knowledge. Our platform can consult the end user in order to resolve eventual composition ambiguities. The dynamic aspect of our proposition involves (i) the detection of environmental changes in response to dynamic triggers; (ii) interactive adaptation to internal changes and external stimuli; (iii) determination of the real intent of the end user; and (iv) dynamic generation of different composition plans and selection of the most appropriate option, based on context data and user intent.

The emergency response process consists of methodical and coordinated series of actions and protocols executed by individuals and organizations to proficiently address crises. When planning for medical emergencies, it is vital to work with responsive medical organizations to ensure good communication and coordination. Unlike e-government processes, emergency response processes are focused on knowledge and may frequently change as the emergency situation develops. It is important to change the emergency response plan for dynamic situations and the proposed method helps to create a flexible plan for emergency responses. The proposed approach uses a system for organizing knowledge to figure out the needs and the resources essential for an emergency. It helps to identify the organizations to be involved based on their rules for mutual aid and jurisdiction. Experimental analysis shows that the proposed method outperforms Smart-c and DCERP in suggesting a greater number of hospitals during medical emergency and achieves 0.8, 0.9 and 0.9 precision, recall, and f-measure approximately.

Current Internet of Things (IoT) devices provide a diverse range of functionalities, ranging from measurement and dissemination of sensory data observation, to computation services for real-time data stream processing. In extreme situations such as emergencies, a significant benefit of IoT devices is that they can help gain a more complete situational understanding of the environment. However, this requires the ability to utilize IoT resources while taking into account location, battery life, and other constraints of the underlying edge and IoT devices. A dynamic approach is proposed for orchestration and management of distributed workflow applications using services available in cloud data centers, deployed on servers, or IoT devices at the network edge. Our proposed approach is specifically designed for knowledge-driven business process workflows that are adaptive, interactive, evolvable and emergent. A comprehensive empirical evaluation shows that the proposed approach is effective and resilient to situational changes.
