Tetra-n-butylammonium iodide (nBu 4 NI)-catalyzed CÀNb ond formation for the synthesis of allylic Nheterocycles was achieved under metal-free conditions. The reaction is applicable to the couplingo farange of allylic hydrocarbonsw ithb iologically activep urines, benzimidazoles, benzotriazoles, and saccharin. The reaction mechanism was primarily investigated and ar adical process was proposed.
