A First-Order Logic Framework of Major Choosing Decision Making With an Uncertain Reasoning Function

Abstract: This paper proposes an auto-decision making system, knowledge-based major choosing decision (KMCD), which helps remote students choose their majors. It is built within a first-order reasoning system with an uncertain reasoning function. The knowledge of both students who want to choose their majors and who have finished their studies are used in the decision making process of the system. KMCD provides personalized suggestions to those students who want to choose majors. Both the learning abilities of students … Show more

“…The system takes query inputs and return answers such as the location predicate and its instantiated variables. Reference [37] proposed and implemented the KMCD (knowledge-based major choosing decision)a decision system that provides support to students in choosing their majors (or specialisation). The KMCD system used first-order formulas in the modelling of the predefined set of attributes e.g.…”

“…The quantum theory has been applied in many filed including information theory [38], decision making system [49,50], social and information networks [46,51]. Busemeyer et al [5,33] proposed a Quantum Dynamical model based on a quantum version of a classical dynamical Markov model, which takes the process of making decisions into account of time evolution.…”
