Abstract:A finite element method (FEM) has been adopted to model the corona characteristics in duct-type electrostatic precipitators. The study involves the evaluation of the electric potential, field, and charge density in the interelectrode spacing. The calculated current-voltage (I-U) characteristics, electric field, and potential distributions agreed well with those published before. Moreover, the I-U characteristics were measured for different values of wire-to-wire separation, wire diameter, and wire-to-plate sp… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
