Abstract:A non-maximally decimated filterbank structure for preequalizing channels with Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI) is investigated. The impulse response of the channel is assumed to be known at the transmitter. Compared with the classical Tomlinson-Harashima Precoding technique, the proposed pre-equalizer compensates for the channel without increasing the number of the received signal levels (channel alphabet). The proposed technique does not require the channel to be minimum-phase. The filterbank structure adds r… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
