A Feed-Forward Control Realizing Fast Response for Three-Branch Interleaved DC-DC Converter in DC Microgrid

Abstract: It is a common practice for storage batteries to be connected to DC microgrid buses through DC-DC converters for voltage support on islanded operation mode. A feed-forward control based dual-loop constant voltage PI control for three-branch interleaved DC-DC converters (TIDC) is proposed for storage batteries in DC microgrids. The working principle of TIDC is analyzed, and the factors influencing the response rate based on the dual-loop constant voltage control for TIDC are discussed, and then the method of fe… Show more

“…In order to guarantee the proportional term constant in steady-state, this threshold value e 1k should satisfy the following condition as . (27) In order to prevent the frequent switching of the proportional term, the hysteresis loop needs to be used as shown in Fig. 11, so the follows can be obtained (28) where Δk pk means the variation of proportional term of the k-th converter, and Δk pk needs to be increased to k pok to improve the response speed when the absolute error increases to e 2k .…”
