A Fault-Tolerant Filtering Algorithm for SINS/DVL/MCP Integrated Navigation System

Abstract: The Kalman filter (KF), which recursively generates a relatively optimal estimate of underlying system state based upon a series of observed measurements, has been widely used in integrated navigation system. Due to its dependence on the accuracy of system model and reliability of observation data, the precision of KF will degrade or even diverge, when using inaccurate model or trustless data set. In this paper, a fault-tolerant adaptive Kalman filter (FTAKF) algorithm for the integrated navigation system comp… Show more

“…As a small sample prediction method, grey prediction method has been widely used in terms of small sample prediction, and the prediction results have been universally accepted in time series data (Zhang et al, 2019). Scholars improved the grey prediction method like Xu et al (2015) optimized GM (1,1) model according to the formula of background value. In the application of fault diagnosis of AUV, Jia et al (2014) used grey correlation analysis to compare fault pattern vector and testing vector, and directly determined whether there was a fault in the sensor of AUV.…”

“…Liu et al [16] suggest a fast gradual fault detection method based on the improved residual χ 2 detection algorithm for underwater integrated navigation systems. In Reference [17] a fault-tolerant adaptive Kalman filter (FTAKF) algorithm is designed for INS composed of an INS, a DVL, and a magnetic compass (MCP). The evolutionary artificial neural networks (EANN) is used in self-learning and training of the intelligent data fusion algorithm.…”

“…Fault diagnosis with χ 2 rules is a common method to detect sudden changes in engineering [16]. In this method, the measurement at time k´1 is assumed without a sudden change, and the prediction X k,k´1 with state vector at k´1 is without error.…”
