A dynamic mathematical model of an ultra-supercritical coal fired once-through boiler-turbine unit

Abstract: It is essential to establish precise dynamic model for OTB (once-through boiler) power plant unit in order to meet large scale load demand from the power grid. This study proposes to establish such a dynamic mathematical model of ultra-supercritical OTB unit under dry operating condition. More precisely, the dynamic model structure was derived from mass and energy conservation laws as well as thermodynamic principle under some reasonable simplifications and assumptions. Then an IGA (immune genetic algorithm) w… Show more

“…Accordingly, employing these models in modern control methods is difficult. Several statistics-based models have been proposed for boiler combustion efficiency prediction in the literature [5][6][7]. In Reference [5], an autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model has been proposed, based on simulation data to predict the boiler combustion efficiency.…”
