A dual-signal fluorescent probe for detection of acid phosphatase

Abstract: Acid phosphatase has become a significant indicator of prognostic and medical diagnosis, and its dysfunction may lead to a series of diseases. A novel dual-signal fluorescence method for acid phosphatase detection based on europium polymer (europiumpyridine dicarboxylicacid-adenine) and pyridoxal phosphate (PLP) was proposed. PLP coordinated with europium polymer via Eu 3+ and P-O bonds, and the fluorescence of europium polymer was quenched due to the photoinduced electron transfer (PET) effect between aldehyd… Show more

“…For the detection using a fluorescence signal channel, a linear detection range of 10∼5 mU/ ml with an LOD of 4.6 μU/ml (S/N 3) is obtained. The LOD is lower than that obtained using N-CDs, N-CDs-MnO 2 nanocomposites, or Eu 3+ -coordination polymer (Supplementary Table S1 in SI) (Zhu et al, 2018;Zhu et al, 2019;Li et al, 2021). To investigate the specificity of ACP detection, the detection system was, respectively, treated with ACP, bovine serum albumin, trypsin, glucose oxidase, pepsin, or lysozyme.…”
