Abstract:A radio‐frequency identification antenna with a quasi‐endfire radiation beam and a vertical polarisation is presented. A size‐reduced magnetic dipole is used as the radiation source whose radiating waves are restricted by a dual‐layer metasurface to propagate along the horizontal direction and result in an endfire pattern. Two vertical metal plates are placed at both ends to induce magnetic currents to realise the vertical polarisation. Based on the near‐field power analysis, the proposed metasurface‐covered e… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
