This research aimed to analyze the quality of the information conveyed through YouTube videos in Portuguese on the use of two medicines suggested for the treatment of COVID-19: chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine. The ‘Brief DISCERN’ questionnaire was applied to assess the quality of the video content as well as baseline characteristics, such as length, views, likes and dislikes, in a total of 90 videos with almost 4,5 million views. Traditional media accounted for 58,89% of videos. Misleading information was present in most of the videos (63,5%). Despite the ease of access, the videos showed problems in the quality of information.

Objetivou-se produzir um ensaio teórico para refletir sobre possíveis contribuições da alfabetização científica no enfrentamento aos desafios pós- isolamento nas escolas de educação básica. Foi feita uma caracterização sobre como se deu o momento pandêmico e seus impactos na educação básica. A análise apontou a necessidade de o ensino de ciências desdobrar atenção para dois aspectos no contexto pós-isolamento: 1. a qualidade das informações, quanto à sensibilidade aos aspectos emocionais do processo de ensino e aprendizagem de ciências. Nessa perspectiva, apresentaram-se possibilidades pedagógicas para o cuidado com as fontes adequadas de informações, inclusive as referentes a superação das fake news; 2. a importância de compreender que a educação científica deve estar alinhada às questões socioemocionais para diminuir a vulnerabilidade a partir da ressignificação dessas informações no suporte aos estudantes. Abstract This paper aims to reflect on contributions of scientific literacy in tackling post-isolation challenges in basic education schools. We presented a characterization of the pandemic and its impacts on basic education. The analysis highlighted the need for science teaching to pay attention to two aspects in the post-isolation context: 1. the quality of information, regarding sensitivity to the emotional aspects of the science teaching and learning process. From this perspective, pedagogical possibilities were presented for taking care of appropriate sources of information, including those relating to overcoming fake news; 2. the importance of understanding that scientific education must be aligned with socio-emotional issues to reduce vulnerability by reframing this information to support students.

The heterogeneity and plurality of actors and the possible issues that influence Ethical Decision-Making (EDM) make EDM a multi-faceted phenomenon. This research aims to (i) investigate the training or instructional path in ethics or computing ethics, and (ii) investigate these phenomena from ethics of resistance disruptive, critical, and innovative perspective. The simplification and reduction of the holistic panorama partially explain that empirical research on this topic has failed to generate cumulative results. Therefore, we collect and analyze four hundred and thirty-four responses from a questionnaire, mostly from computer experts associated with their instruction on ethics and “immoral” or “unethical” practices that they have been involved in, directly or indirectly. Based on the results obtained, the main contribution is an interpretive and exploratory computing ethics/ethics discussion about instruction and the morality of practices through cyberspace.
