A Discriminatory Pricing Model and Simulation to Different Users of Eastern Route of the South-to-North Water Transfers Supply Chain

Abstract: To solve the problem of pricing to various consumers, we analyze the environment of Eastern Route market with multiresources and multi-users, design both combined and decentralized pricing models based on supply chain theory. Through comparison, we find that the fitness of the two models depends on the purchasing cost by retail to the agriculture users. Based on OA (operation research) and Eastern Route example, we also expand the model with constraints of floating and progressive price and analyze its validit… Show more

“…In 2007, the study [10] established an optimal multiobjective model of water resource allocation. In 2008, the studies [11,12] researched joint pricing of water on the basis of cooperative and noncooperative game theories in a two-tier water supply chain. Study [13] developed a spatial water distribution plan that can save cost and time.…”

“…Since then, much research regarding the optimal allocation and scheduling of interbasin water resources in SNWD project has been done. Wang, Zhang, and Yang (2008) built a principal‐agent contract model and pricing model for the SNWD supply chain; Zhu et al (2005) and Zhu (2007, 2008a, 2008b) designed the water‐resource supply chain structure for the eastern route of SNWD, analyzed the bullwhip effect, and built the water‐resource allocation model and inventory management model; Zhang, Wang, and Wang (2004, 2005) built the multistage coordination model for the SNWD supply chain; Hou, Wang and Qiu (2008), Hou, Wang, Qiu et al (2008) and Hou et al(2009) built minimum commitment and flexibility contracts, vendor‐managed inventory (VMI) coordination model and the SRSS model for the SNWD supply chain; and Zhang, Wang, and Yang (2008) also built a pricing model for the SNWD supply chain.…”
