With the rapid development of computer science, there are more and more kinds of discrete dynamic systems. Computer integrated system CIMS, network communication database administrator system, and human behavior analysis system are all discrete dynamic systems. At present, many researchers have studied by adding human behavior data to discrete dynamic systems. This paper aims to study the behavior data of English learners by using the discrete dynamic modeling technology of complex systems and the discrete dynamic system modeling method of Petri nets. By adding the behavior data of learners to the discrete dynamic system of fuzzy Petri nets, the system is diagnosed and optimized. The experimental results show that the complex discrete dynamic system in this paper has achieved good experimental results according to the performance indicators selected in theory. Based on the combination of the above technologies and systems, the fuzzy Petri net discrete dynamic system studied in this paper improves the processing speed of English learners' behavior data.

PurposeThis study aims to investigate the occurrence of the decoy effect in stock investment decisions based on fundamental analysis.Design/methodology/approachIn this study, the decoy effect was investigated by applying two questionnaires, one of them with the presence of a decoy alternative, to a set of 224 respondents with knowledge of business fundamentals, simulating investment decisions in stocks of companies listed on the Brazilian Stock Exchange. The data analysis was performed using the Fisher's exact test, Student's t-test and ANOVA. The research also aimed to detect a potential relationship between the variables gender, age, degree and professional experience with the type of decision made.FindingsThe results pointed to the occurrence of the decoy effect when analysing the general response data. However, such evidence was not confirmed when the sample was analysed by classes (gender, course, age and professional experience). There is no statistical evidence that the decoy effect influences classes.Originality/valueThe recent decoy effect literature is little explored in investment decision-making. This study is unique in examining the decoy effect in investment decisions in the Brazilian context.

With the rapid development of the Internet, the amount of data increases sharply. In this network age, data have been generated, such as multimedia, social networks, and search records. Due to the generation of data, complex system discrete model technology is also widely used in all walks of life. Multimedia learning is a popular teaching mode in the world. Through the discrete model technology of the complex system, this paper deeply studies the impact of multimedia input on college students’ English ability. Because the modeling and sampling of complex systems are abstract and not fixed, approximation and control methods are adopted in discrete time, which greatly improves the reliability of the final research results. Compared with the original discrete modeling technology, this paper adds data sampling compression and assimilation technology on the basis of the original discrete modeling technology of the complex system. The results show that, by adding the technical application of controllable and observable systems, the discrete model of the whole complex system can reduce the error of the final output data. At the same time, this paper compresses and simplifies the data nodes at the microlevel. Macroscopically, it reduces the scale, especially the number of node data compression. The final result also realizes the data scale and greatly shortens the calculation time. This study has greatly improved the accuracy of the impact of multimedia on Chinese college students’ English ability in practical application.
