A DFT study for the structures and electronic spectra of 2,3-dihydropyridine-4-ones

Abstract: KEYWORDSThe molecular structure and electronic spectra of eleven dihydropyridones were theoretically studied utilizing density functional (DFT) method. The structures were optimized using B3LYP/6-31G(d,p) level of theory. The conformations of the molecules were analyzed with respect to substituents. Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD.
