“…ISND is well established in the study of the local environment of ions, through determination of the pair correlation function, in noncrystalline systems such as superionics (Elliott, 1998;Lee & Elliott, 1996), glasses (e.g. Arai et al, 1986;Zhao et al, 1998;Cormier et al, 2001), liquids such as selenides and tellurides (Buchanan et al, 2001;Hamilton et al, 2000), aqueous solutions (Enderby, 1980) and amorphous ceramics, using small-angle neutron scattering (Durr et al, 1997). Works presented by Balagurov et al (1994) and Trounov et al (1992) were, until recently, two very rare examples of the use of ISND in crystalline materials.…”
