Abstract:The cyst wall of Acanthamoeba castellanii (Ac) contains cellulose and has outer ectocyst and inner endocyst layers connected by conical ostioles. Previously, we used mass spectrometry of purified Ac walls to identify families of abundant lectins (Jonah, Luke, and Leo).
