A Design Study of a Supersonic Air Intake Device in a Wide Range of Main Flow Parameters

Abstract: This paper examines operation modes of a mixed compression air intake with a rectangular cross-section at Mach number 2.0. The perfect gas model was used for the calculation. Calculations were performed for three values of Mach numbers: 1.8, 2.0 and 3.0. k–ε turbulence model was chosen for describing flows with large adverse pressure gradients.
