A design of near-eye 3D display based on dual-OLED

Abstract: This paper provides a review of 3D display technology and a design of Near-Eye 3D Display (NE3D). In present, image quality and visual comfort are the main problems of 3D display. We designed a NE3D with using the latest 0.5 inch OLED microdisplay chips, and it contains dual-OLED and two freeform lenses, which provides the left-and right-eye image of a side-by-side displayed stereo pair to the appropriate eye. It is a "free view" 3D display technology, and interocular crosstalk was eliminated completely by usi… Show more

“…Accurate IDP measurements aided in proper HMD rendering of stereoscopic images by accounting for small differences between an individual's visual focal point, which helps to increase accurate perception of the images (Bruder, Pusch, & Steinicke, 2012). This procedure also helps increase visual comfort while viewing virtual stereoscopic images in this fashion (Chen, Shi, Yun, & Tai, 2010;Zhang, 2007). After the appropriate adjustments were made, participants were instructed on the necessary interactions required during their experience within each of the 3D VREs.…”

“…Since VGA interface output is an analog signal, you need an analog to digital converter chip to decode the signal. The system chosen the AD decoder chip produced by a A/D conversion chip AD9883, capable graphics card on the PC analog RGB signal output speed 8-bit A/D conversion [8].…”
