“…Inventory renewal, validation for maximum storage time for their coolers and methods to develop transfusing staff competency vary among Canadian OHBTPs. After collecting descriptive data on transfusion practice [17], we sought to compare Canadian practices, as there is limited information on the technical and operational aspects of practice in international OHBTPs when reviewing the current literature, which presents a challenge when applying it to Canadian practice and when seeking to implement best practice.
