A Deficiency of the Predict-Then-Optimize Framework: Decreased Decision Quality with Increased Data Size

Abstract: This paper presents an analysis of the decision quality of the predict-then-optimize (PO) framework, an extensively used prescriptive analytics framework in uncertain optimization problems.
