“…Similar kind of anodic behavior noticed on platinum anode has been reported in our previous article. 17 The potential window of the LiCl-1 wt%. Li 2 O melt for CO 2 formation was found to be 1.0 V (+ 0.75 to + 1.7 V) beyond which the chlorine evolution took place on the graphite electrode.…”

“…In consideration the close combination of U with Fe for the synthesis of uranium‐iron alloy, the working electrode (WE) is molybdenum wire (A.R, Φ=1 mm×300 mm, ρ=10.20 g/cm 3 ) for electrochemical testing because of its chemical inertness or stainless steel (304 stainless steel, S.P, Φ=1 mm×300 mm, ρ Fe =7.93 g/cm 3 ), and the working electrodes (WE) were polished by SiC paper. We selected graphite rod (S.P, Φ=4 mm×300 mm, ρ=2.25 g/cm 3 ) as anode rather than Pt, because the Pt counter electrode (CE) will dissolve, according to Faradays law, and the anodic effect increases the wear and tear, and Li 2 PtO 3 is deposited in the electrolytes affecting electrochemical signals, and corrosion also occurred on the platinum electrode in Li 2 O containing LiCl melts . As such, Carbon materials like 3‐D graphite doped materials and reduced graphene oxide are promising anodes ,.…”

“…The reference electrode (RE) is a Ag/AgCl electrode composed of a high purity alumina tube containing AgCl (1 wt%) in LiCl−KCl (41 : 59 mol %) melts whose total weight is 7 g. The potential of the reference electrode was standardized against Ag + /Ag, and all of the potentials texted in the experiment were referred to this Ag/AgCl electrode couple. The reference electrode was used in a similar manner ,. Before carrying out the experiment, all electrodes were pretreated.…”

“…7,50 Research into the anodic behavior of platinum under these conditions has demonstrated that platinum can operate as a nearly inert anode if the concentration of Li 2 O is maintained above 0.5 wt% and the anode potential is less than +2.6 V vs Li/Pb. 51 If the activity of the O 2− ion decreases significantly, the dissolution of platinum occurs via Reaction 3.…”
